Welcome to my blog, you lucky devil!

Hola. My name is Lish Dorset, and I’m a swell gal. I’m a crafter, craft writer, and craft lover. I’m 1/5 of Handmade Detroit and the Detroit Urban Craft Fair, Michigan’s first indie craft fair. Hopefully you’ve checked it out in the past!
I write for Craft Magazine. There are some talented folks contributing content for that blog, so I’m very honored to be a part of the team.
During the day I’m a digital strategist for Weber Shandwick Detroit.
If you’d like to chat, drop me a line (lish.dorset {at} gmail {dot} com) or leave me a comment.
Hi Lish – I found you from a link on Ypsi City Desk. I am a former Ypsi resident (lived there for 13 years) and a good friend of Johnny Action Space Punk, currently living in the western suburbs of Chicago. I wanted to tell you I love the pyrex bowl in your header – I collect turquoise pyrex. I also collect Franciscan Starburst dinnerware; it’s a labor of love but also frustrating as 7 inch bowls are elusive.
Your blog made me laugh!
Thanks!
Trixie
Hearting this blog/design about as much as I heart its’ blogger;) Adding to my blogroll right now!
I drove by the Lakepoint Yacht club today and since I have never been there and have lived in Livonia 20 years I thought that I would google it up to see what kind of a place it was. Much to my surprise the only comments came from a blogger with white glasses that I recognized instantly! Thanks Lish, I think I can cross that bar off of my list. Who would have thought that I would connect with your blog looking up that bar! Now that is serendipity. See you at the next family gathering.
Lish,
I have known you for several years and I have never seen that picture! Why not? It is a classic. Tell Paul congraduations. He is so grown up. What happened?
Cute blog! I’ve enjoyed reading several of your posts.
Hi, I know you have no clue who I am, but wordpress randomly took me to your blog. I saw that you have your facebook badge in the sidebar. What widget did you use to put it there? I have tried to do that for a long time now and have not succeeded.
I found your blog when I was doing a gogle image search for a kitchen aid hand mixer. Really cute stuff…I bet we would have a lot in common. I too heart all things kitsch.
Hi,
I wanted to let you and your readers know about a special organization that is trying to raise money through the Pepsi Refresh project.
I volunteer for an organization called ArtRoad that brings art teachers to schools that have never had art programs. They are asking for $25k from Pepsi in order to hire three artists to be teachers at three different schools in Detroit. It would help over 1,000 children experience art in the classroom.
Here is the link:

Tell everyone you can it’s such a great organization!
Thanks so much!
Katie
